Controller update has broken my controller

I just got the stero adaptor for my XB1 and ever since I updated my controller I have had nothing but problems. First I was completely unable to play a game, if I started a game it would just dump me back to to the home screen. I was able to resolve this
issue. But now while playing games I will get the controller needs to be reconnected message. This happens even when the battery is fully recharged. When I put the micro USB cord back into the controller its completely unresponsive. I have to turn the XB off
and even then the controller stays on until I remove the battery from it. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I am getting way beyond frustrated and wondering why I just didn't jump over to PS4

Xbox one controller right analogue stick drifting up

My left analog has been drifting since stereo headphone update...

Day one controller also. Devastated. Surely the controller isn't broken?

I have barely used it.

 

Controller stopped vibrating after update

Like the title says. I play with vibration on and after a recent controller update has broken my vibration. Even when I go to setting and buzz the controller, nothing. It is fully charged and vibration works fine on my second controller.

 

Hi,

Do a full power cycle of your console by holding down the Xbox button on your console for 5 seconds. Wait 10 seconds before turning it on again.

If it's not working, try a different USB cable, and make sure it’s firmly connected to the console’s USB port and the controller’s USB port.

thanx for the response bro. I did that the other day as I was unable to play any games after updating my controller. Games would not load they just kept dumping me to the home screen. this new issue occuers when I am chatting with friends on the live. But
I will try it again though
