Controller update broke all headset functionality on day one controller

I have 2 controllers for my x1, the day one and a standard. I updated the standard controller with the stereo adapter plugged in and it works perfectly with my tritton 720+ headset. i also updated my day one edition controller the exact same way. Not only
does the stereo adaptor not work after the update to the day1, but the basic chat headset also does not work. has anyone else had the problem with their day one controller after update?

Edit: Ive tried re-updating it with the usb connector that came with my play and charge kit and with the one that comes with the stereo adaptor. it says its up to date.

Cannot hear voices through headset

Just an FYI, My problem was a broken headset port on Day One Controller. Tried a friends controller works fine. Microsoft will not guarantee a Day One Controller replacement.. Nice Job MS.

 

Xbox one controller broken after update

My Xbox one controller will not turn on after a controller update yesterday I have bought a Xbox one headset adapter for my new gaming headset and now I followed what the update said e.g plug your USB in to controller but now my controller is broken

 

is the mute light on the adapter and standard headset on? This is currently my issue.

 

I can't even update my controller. Just bought the Titanfall Atlas headset and I keep getting the error msg. But when I go to play ghosts, I'm able to here everything but the shots fired are not coming from the proper area. Someone help!

 

I am in chat right now because I can't update my controller. Very frustrating!

 

I figured it out. Unplug the new adaptor and pug in the original chat headset that came with the Xbox one. It'll work then.

 

Never mind. Just tried plugging pack in the new adaptor and says it needs to update. Idk what else to do.

 

I was told that I would have to replace my controller. I have a day one controller and maybe they have some issues. I am currently waiting on phone support to see what my next step will be.

 

Did you have the headset connected to the controller during the update as suggested during the update process?

 

Yea I did all the steps and trouble shooting tasks at least 10 times. Nothing seems to work.

 

yeah Ive tried updating with both headsets plugged in and both say its already up to date but neiter work anymore... im gonna call support now

 

i have this exact same issue with my day on controller like the game in headset volume stuff works but mic isn't responding at all for people to hear me talk in game chat or party chat yet if i go to skype the mic works just fine.
