    Controller unresponsive after firmware update on latest skip ahead build


    I know that this might not be related to the Preview Update itself, but i think it’s worth a shot asking here.

    Just updated to the latest Skip Ahead Preview, admired the new look for a couple of minutes and moved on to the “console streaming test” that prompted me to update my controller.

    After the update the controller was completely unresponsive.


    • tried different USB ports (I use my controller wired because my wireless card is broken)


    • controller has audio output


    • behaves weird on other devices (only tested with an IPhone, don’t have a PC on hand)


    • I’m still able to navigate through the Xbox UI with the Xbox IOS app


    • controller lights up

    I’m slowly starting to panic. I’m not able to contact customer support and the warranty ended over a year ago.

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead

    The Dolby Vision update has not be enabled yet (from my understanding) in the Skip Ahead build, but will be shortly.

    im on firmware 5.11.3118.0 for xboxc series S controller - latest, been on for weeks, before the problems with constantly disconnecting & reconnecting to the console after the latest console update about 2 weeks ago.

    tried the controller firmware rollback via xbox assist, when you check the firmware it just says something went wrong - its on the latest firmware.......

    Make sure you have updated your headset to the latest firmware, I know my headset got a update today to firmware 0.0.9.4.1
    Yes, I'm on 0.0.9.8 already, since 2 days ago. Maybe because I'm in alpha skip ahead insider.

    Anyway the problem is still present: every single RT, DPAD click or analog stick I move can be clearly heard. The noise reduction is clearly not working.
