controller turns itself off.

this is weird. while playing cod2 my controller will turn off when I soot a single shot weapon like a sniper or shot gun even smr or fal. also when I get shot.

batteries are good and everything is set up as always. nothing new in the way or to cause interference. I tried resyncing my controller, reset my xbox, different controller,

and different game. the game was another shooter. not sure what else to try because this makes no sense to me at all.

Wont get past the big controller blinking buttons at me

I had this issue too. I fixed it in the following way:

- Turn off your Xbox by pressing the power button on the console itself (white Xbox logo).

- Wait for all the lights to turn off on every device (Kinect, controller and the console itself).

- Power on your console by pressing the white Xbox logo on the controller itself, not the console.

Everything worked as intended after that.

 

Xbox One S powering itself back on

Sometimes when I turn my Xbox one S off, the light flashes on the console and it shuts off for half a second but then turns itself back on again. It seems like when it is turning off, it is not turning the controller off so when the console turns off it
sees the controller is on so it turns itself back on. I keep my Xbox on instant on mode so I don't know if that has something to do with it either. Anyone else having this issue or know of any fixes? Thanks

 

Sorry to hear it. This could be an issue caused either by the console or controller(s). How old are the controllers? Would you have access to some newer controllers to try to rule out the possibility of it being the ones you have?

 

well thanks for your reply but I kind of sorted it out my self. things just kept getting worse the more I tried to figure it out. I wasn't able to do anything but simply move around. so I went back through forum pages and came across a similar prob. someone
suggested turning off vibration feature. I tried this and it worked.

so now the problem is why does the vibration feature turn off my controller?

this all happened overnight. played fine then turned it off and the next day it wasn't.
