    Controller turning off?


    So I bought my XB1 at launch with an extra controller and two rechargeable packs. They were both working fine until about a week ago. My day one controller was turning off frequently even just after charging the battery. Well long story short I took the
    battery pack out and heard the inards jiggling about inside. Moral of my story..... if your having this issue check your battery pack it may be that.

    Controller Turning Off.

    Just spoke to a very helpful Irish lady on the phone from Microsoft Support and she suggested the following which has worked for me.

    Hold down the power button on the console itself for 10 seconds. Then unplug EVERY cable from the console (HDMI, Ethernet etc) and the power cable from the console AND the power brick from the mains. Wait 60 seconds then plug everything back in, start the
    Xbox and everything should be sorted. Only thing wrong with my controller now is the sticky home orb which has been that way since I unboxed the thing but that is getting sorted next month after Ive bought a second controller. Happy with the customer service
    I must add.

    I'm not so dumb as to replace dead batteries with dead batteries. Especially when they are fresh out the pack and work in other equipment.

    I will continue my search. Seems to be working now after a hard reset.

    Controller turning off?

    Mine makes a minor sound when I shake it too, but after holding the trigger buttons while doing so, nada. So...yea.. Not much to say. Did you try any other battery packs with it?

    Shaking the pack itself made the noise not the controller. I have 2 packs and the other didn't rattle. Also tried the controller with AA batteries and it was fine. Process of elimination says the pack broke.

    I had a similar issue where the contacts were not touching fully.... I sort of bent the connectors on the controller out more for a better fit... has worked like a charm ever since... I think it happens when you force the rechargeable battery in at the
    wrong angle...

    lol replacing the batteries with dead batteries, its a known issue there is a problem with some controllers or even worse the console, browse these forums or microsoft help, its on here somewhere ive read it

    Mine shuts off when the batteries are dead. You can get the light to come on but shuts off like 2 seconds later. Your probably replacing it with dead batteries.
