    Hello, I have a problem with my Series X controller on PC (Windows 10).

    After updating to the latest firmware (5.13.3143.0) via the Xbox Accessories app, Windows wouldn't sync with the controller. I removed the controller from the bluetooth devices, and re-added it and then it worked. But... the controller will randomly power off during gameplay when it is connected via Bluetooth. In fact it refuses to turn back on unless I connect it using a USB cable.

    Additionally, I can't revert back to the previous firmware using the command "xboxaccessories:\\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true"

    When I run the command the Xbox Accessories app launches, with a message saying "Oops, something went wrong. Your controller is already up to date."

    I also tried to get support through support.microsoft.com but apparently "Phone or chat support is not available for this issue." Plus, the guide to downgrade the firmware doesn't work. (

    Both of my controllers disconnect during heavy action in titalfall.

    I had the same issue last night after I did the latest controller update. The controller would disconnect and power off during firefights and it would not turn back on unless I removed a battery and re-inserted it.

    This happened occasionally before the update, but last night it happened 4 times over the course of the evening....

    yeah before the latest update coz there has been 2 with the first new update my controller wouldnt switch off but the console would now the controller turns off with the console but the vent is still warm and so is the controller and this is hours after

    Please check power settings by going to Settings > General > Power mode & startup and ensure the console isn't set to turn off automatically. Set "Turn off after" to "Don't turn off automatically."

    And then power cycle the Xbox. Turn off your Xbox, unplug the power cord, and wait for at least 10 seconds. Plug it back in and power it on. This can help reset the system.

    Next is to update the console. Kindly make sure that your Xbox Series X is running the latest system update. Go to Settings > System > Updates and check for updates.
