controller turning of when connecting a mic

I think this is a hardware issue rather than a connection issue. If it was your connection the party would read "Disconnected" I would personally try to barrow another controller and another mic from a friend and try them vice versa with your controller
and mic (mic 1 with controller 2, controller 1 with mic 2, and controller 2 with mic 2).

not much of a fix but I had similar problem all the time when I get disconnected and reconnected to party chat usually turning off controller n turning on again can fix it, but could be a different problem try using different hardware mic n controller and
see if that helps.

Im not 100 percent on that ive never used them since a 2 weeks ago. its just seems it must be a hardware issue more than a firmware issue if it just randomly stopped and boots just fine without the mic attached as if the controller detects a fault with the
device and doesn't want to boot up. Id hate to go buy a new mic and that not fix the issue only to go get a new controller and that not work either like some other people online have done and with no success.

This began to occur after the September update?

I'm having the same problem. Started last night in the middle of playing Advanced Warfare. Anyone find a fix yet? I've updated the firmware as the op said he did. Couldn't do it with the chat headset attached since it powers off even when connected via USB.
