Controller Stuck on Looking Top Left

So I bought a Patrol Tech controller and for some reason the right stick (in game POV) keeps quickly looking up to the top left. This isn't a drifting issue, it's always stuck in the top left.. I can't bring it down either, I can just turn left and right.
It's been happening in every single game I play. The buttons are even stuck in some kind of turbo mode (i.e holding down A causes it to press rapidly) which isn't a feature on the controller. Xbox Support and the forums have been no help so I'm submitting
my own question. Anyone got a fix or some details?

hello, I have a problem with joystick left of my controller Xbox-one elite which remains stuck at the top.

 

Cursor stuck to the left; Left centric

I have an Xbox One S console. Recently the cursor in the wireless controller's numeric keypad is stuck on to the left; whatever we do, it returns to the left. On the home screen the cursor jumps back to the top while navigating the screen and on the password
screen or on any app for instance on youtube the cursor keeps to the left while trying to search.

I tried by powering off the console and the controller simultaneously and separately. Tried removing the batteries on the controller and powering it up again.

How to overcome this glitch ?

 

Controller troubleshooting. If it's a software issue with the controller, this should help.

1) Settings > Kinect and Devices > Devices and Accessories > More Options

2) Select Firmware version, (even if it states no update available) and then choose Update Now.

- When its done it should state no updates needed

- Choose Close

3) Choose More Options > Select Assigned to and re-assign your profile to your controller

4) Buzz the controller. It should buzz. If it doesn't, either the feature is turned off or the batteries are low. Use new batteries and test again.

5) Go back to Configure and choose Restore Original. This resets the controller back to defaults

6) Pull the batteries out of the controller and leave them out until the Xbox has restarted from the step below

7) Hard reset the Xbox - Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

8) Put batteries back in the controller

9) Re-sync your Xbox One controller to refresh the connection back to the Xbox.
