Controller stops working on system restart SOMETIMES.

Title says it. Sometimes when i start my system it won't respond to my controller. It acts like it's lost sync, but when I resync it I still can't get it to respond correctly. This problem started when I get the Xbox one Chat pad, but it happens with
or without it plugged in now. Anyone else had this problem? It will still turn the system on, but nothing else when this happens.

On a side note, I plugged it in with a USB wire earlier, and it seemed to work properly afterwards. Good to know I can fix it, but annoying that it's happening. Is this signs of my controller going out? I've had it since launch.

"A" button stops working properly

Occasionally, the A button on my controllers (note plural) stops working (or only intermittently) in apps and in the dashboard.

At the top level, it successfully selects icons (like system->preferences) and then doesn't activate any choices in the sub-menus.

On some apps it stops working entirely (in Netflix, the left stick also behaves oddly)

The controllers seem to work properly in games (if I can get them started)

This happens with a wireless, wired, and smartglass. So it doesn't seem to be a controller issue.

Tried hard reboot (pulled power) which works sometimes, but only for a while.

Cannot connect

Now here's a kicker, can anyone confirm that the workaround stops working upon system shutdown/restart?

I couldn't connect until I changed the last number of my IP, again.

I've had the same issue. Seems to happen a few days in a row, then doesn't happen for a month or so. It also only happens with my oldest controller. So it could be a sign that the controller is on it's way out. Though it could also be that the WiFi on the
console is also on it's way out.

If you were looking at buying another controller anyway, then go for it and if the issue persists, then it's the console. Or, see if you can swap controllers with a friend for a couple of days. If he has the issue with your controller, then you know it's
the controller, if you have issues with his controller, you know it's the console.

It could also be that you have something interfering with the signal. what's the proximity of your console to other wireless devices?

Update*

Problems are still occurring. Also, as i failed to mention in my first question. The vibration on the controller stops working coincidentally with the button bouncing problem. It works fine for a little bit. And with no external factors other than me playing
a game, rumble stops working, and buttons start acting weird. My new controller is arriving tomorrow, but the way its looking its not a hardware issue on the controller's part.

Also, the controller sometimes refuses to connect to the dongle after I've restarted my PC. Which is also something strange that my xbox 360 controller never did.

This might sound silly but have you tried fully restarting your system? I get this sometimes and usually a full restart works.

My old batteries also stopped working after sometime ago, they didn't exactly stopped, but their voltage were reduced with time, and they weren't capable of keeping the controller on.
