Controller Stopped Working when plugged in to charge

Tried that but still no go. The controller will flash a couple of times every once in a while when I try to start it as it is plugged in but then nothing.

Try seeing if putting regular bateries in it will work. There might be a short or a defect in the batteries yhat you currently have in the controllers

Please try to change the batteries in the controller instead of using the charger and see if that makes a difference. If that does not work then try to connect the controller to the console using a USB cable and see if the controller stays on.

I'm not familiar with first party Xbox standard controllers coming with USB charging cables. Only Elite controllers come with an included cable and the play and charge kit is bought separately. which includes the charging cable.

What brand and type of controllers do you have and what cable and rechargeable battery pack do you use? Is it this one?https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/batteries-chargers/play-and-charge-kit

It's possible they need an update or the console does. Check your system settings if the console needs an update, and I suggest plugging the controllers into a Windows PC if you can to check if they work or if you can update them from a PC.
