    CONTROLLER SHUT OFF


    Hey xbox creaters and xbox fans reading this please agree with everything i have to say. Ive been really hating how the controller turns off after 15 mins of inactivity. I really hope you agree but xbox really needs to fix this. The thing is that their representatives
    say this is a “feature”. But a feature is a distinctive atribute or aspect of something so therefore this “feature” not even close to that definition.

    Controller shutting off pauses game?

    Is there a setting somewhere that I've missed that stops the "please reconnect your controller message" and pausing the game when the controller shuts down?

    I suppose in most cases it'd be quite handy, if your in the middle of something and the battery dies at least it doesn't mess everything up if it pauses.

    Playing Rocksmith, there are times when, if you're playing a load of songs, you may not touch the controller for a while and it'd be good to be able to switch the "feature" off.

    FEATURE REQUEST: Xbox One shutting off TV only on request

    Hello!

    It's very useful having a "shut off TV" option when Xbox is shutting off… But sometime I want only shut off my Xbox not my TV!

    So should be very useful, when I long-press the X button, that the XBox will presents 3 buttons: "Shut off Xbox", "shut off Controller", and "Shut off Xbox and TV".

    Every 2 Minutes winners!

    Finally got my system bundle on Tuesday. Tried to set it up and it is slow starting up and then the controller wont stay on and system shuts off. Anyone have this problem? The controller shuts off as well

    Are you able to use the controller while it is directly connected to the console with a USB cable, does it do the same thing. If it does not shut down, then it may be an issue with the battery or connectors.

    I think I have a solution for your problem. Please read my instructions. (COURTERSEY TO WIKIHOW.COM)

    1.

    Remove the battery packs and batteries. Under a strong light inspect the metal contacts at the bottom of the battery holes. If the contacts look shiny and clean skip to step 3).

    2.Tape a piece of fine sandpaper over the eraser end of a pencil. Insert this in the holes to twist and gently rub the contacts clean. Smoother sandpaper (i.e., 400 grit) is best, just don't rub as hard with rougher stuff. Blow
    in each hole to remove any loose particles.

    3.

    Pry up on the contact at this gap Flip the pencil around and snap off the lead. Use this end to gently pry up the metal contact (which is lying too flat) at the bottom of each hole so that it is about 30-45 degrees off the
    bottom. The wood of the pencil will catch the contact more easily than the lead.

    4.

    Replace the batteries, which will now make solid contact, and your controllers will no longer shut off unexpectedly. Happy gaming!

    I have been arguing for this feature myself. I do enjoy playing with a keyboard and a mouse, but it makes things hard when I need to keep using my controller, so it will not shut off.

    Also thanks for the link I googled about this issue first and the only thing that showed up was for "xboxuservoice" or something along those lines. Anyways that page was no longer in existence. So this link helps.
