Controller Shortcuts Are Broken Now

Controller shortcuts "xbox xbox X"-record that, and "xbox xbox y"-screenshot would both work without interrupting game if tapped quickly.

Now they don't, xbox xbox opens menu, and there is a delay before x or y is accepted. During this delay you leave the game for a moment, and get kicked from online play as well.



Like most players, I hate Kinect, I sold the crap, so please don't suggest that, thankyou! Also, the new chatpad is no solution with it's great shortcuts, it has no fitting for old X1 mic, only a 3.5 jack, so can not be used with our turtle beaches etc.

Why are you killing us like this?

Microsoft to release Xbox One without Kinect

^ I think its more a case of adding certain controller based shortcuts to what there is now, as opposed to removing Kinect-based features - at least I hope..

 

Either W10 or the new Xbox One Preview Controller Update broke compatibility in PC games.

I have the exact same problem, the xbox one controller totally disables keyboard input in games. Just yesterday I was able to play with the controller using the chatpad for keyboard shortcuts, today I come to find Windows 10 had an update and now I can't
use either the chatpad or the keyboard in the games with controller support.

Have you tried giving you console a hard boot? Fixes a suprising amount of issues with the console

With the xbox on, hold down the power button for 10seconds until the console switches off, leave it for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on and try again.

Yes. It is not that. It is a console wide problem, we are all talking about it in parties etc.

Had to do a few hard resets since the update.
