    Controller shortcuts and how to turn them off?


    Couldn't find any information on the Internet and need help.

    I have a strange problem. When playong games pressing x or y buttons sometimes opens up dashboard menu or a turning off menu. Sometimes xbox oven starts to take videos. Mostly happens when you have to hold down these buttons (x and y). Happened a lot in
    Overwatch and in FFV. Maybe these are some kind of shortcuts and how to turn them off?

    OS not loading...

    I turn the XBOX ONE on and see the logo. Then it goes to a black screen.

    I can open up shortcut command screen using Kinetc, but nothing executes. I can bring up a turn off console screen using the controller, but it doesn't execute a full power down. The screen is otherwise black.

    Inserting a game disc attempts a load... but fails.

    What happened to the operating system screen?

    How do I stop "Channel Shortcuts" from showing up?

    Everytime I go to "watch TV" I get the Channel Shortcuts dialogue pop up. Can I turn that off?

    Changing my age ?

    You cannot change the age but you can turn off Parental Controls. See:
    support.xbox.com/.../parental-control     for the steps (that document tells you how to turn them on but it is the same steps for turning them off... You can see the Off option in the image).

    As the dashboard has changed over the years some of the button functions have changed. You can still hold the Xbox button to turn the console off or just a controller. I don't remember there being many button shortcuts though.

    I just go into the menu and select turn off controller it's the easiest option to use.
    What about pressing and holding the guide button for 6 seconds till it turns the controller off is it possible that's a glitch?

    I press and hold the home button until i get the options of switching off console, controller, restarting console etc. I find it the best way of turning the controller off.
