    Controller sensitivity issues

I recently bought an Xbox 360 controller and the left analog stick is used to look around and when I slightly move the analog stick it very slowly (slower than it should be) looks around but when I move it a little more it really suddenly moves like it should
be. (Tested on black ops 2)

    :)

    Help

Also be aware that different games handle controller sensitivity different, what might be a sensitivity of 4 in one game could end up being a sensitivity 6 in another game. I suggest play around with your in-game controller settings
to fit your play style and possibly compensate for any issues you are having with the controller. Also my sensitivity has randomly changed before by some error of my own that has caused me similar frustration until I realize it lol!

  3. Update controller

Does the controller update under system, handle both stereo and sensitivity or was the sensitivity buried in the firmware update?

    Hey there!

If you feel that the controller isn't operating as intended and you purchased it from a retailer with an exchange/return policy, you may want to consider exchanging it for a new one. However your description sounds as if the controller is working to me.

You're the best judge of that though so if you feel it's worth exchanging, go for it. Controller sensitivity issues :)

    Sticks Are So Sensitive

I've never had any issues with sensitivity either with the stock controller or with the elite controller which I now use, in all fairness I've never had sensitivity issues with my PS4 controller either but it would also be fair to say that as a primary
PC gamer I'm used to ultra sensitive control methods!

    Console / controller sensitivity issue

    Hi XBF,

i tried the soft reset over the weekend with no success. I ended up doing a complete factory reset install which did resolve the issue but also in turn deleted all if my games and apps. Thank you for the suggestions though.

    Console / controller sensitivity issue

    Hey there KatoC1,

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle this controller issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty perplexing an ordeal to encounter. If it perhaps is some kind of bug on the console's side you might want to try what
we call a soft factory reset of the console. It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

When you get the chance, follow the steps here on

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One
, try the option denoted reset and keep my games & apps and let us know how that helps with the issue.

    Thanks for reading!

    Console / controller sensitivity issue

Hello...I did update the regular controller but the results were still the same with no change. The elite 2 did not have an update. As mentioned also, i tried my sons controller on my xbox one with same issues. His continues to work fine on his xbox
one. Did not try anything with PC. Just assume that with the steps ive already taken that the issue must reside with the console itself.
