Controller seems frozen when attempting to reconnect to xbox live for Halo

Has anyone else experienced the controller not allowing to continue to connect to xbox live... my son went to play Halo and gets to the connect to xbox live... but selecting Á' doesn't do anything... haven't had this issue in the past and I can connecvt
to xbox live before the games disk is inserted.... not sure if its a game thing / connection thing?? rebooting both xbox and network connection hasn't helped nor has removing the game a few times??? Any help would be appreciated... I have to restart the xbox
each time I get to this stage...ta

MCC multilayer issues?

I have found that if I log out of my xbox live account and sign back in when this occurs it usually works. I have also recently had a problem where Halo MCC froze up completely when attempting to join a party. Nothing seemed to fix it (powering off and
on, signing and out, etc.). I ended up unplugging the power for a minute and that solved the issue.

Disconnects while playing Halo 4

I have been playing Halo 4 for three days now and every day I have experienced frequent, bizarre disconnects from Xbox Live. I can play for periods at a time, but I have been disconnected from War Games, Spartan Ops and the main menu.

After I am disconnected from Live, I cannot reconnect from Halo 4. I must go to the dashboard, and I can immediately reconnect to Xbox Live. Then, I can play until I am randomly disconnected again. Rinse and repeat. No error code while in Halo 4, it just
says that connection was lost and upon attempting to reconnect, it says that it cant connect to xbox live and asks me if I want to test my connection. If I test my connection, it has no trouble connecting to xbox live (as it must exit Halo 4 to test).

I have tried power-cycling my modem, and I have not had any such network issues with other games during this time period.

My console isn't freezing. The screen has not frozen, my games will continue to play as if nothing has happened. It's just my controller will no longer reconnect until I turn off the console and leave it for a bit. When the controller freezes, the 1P light
is still on with the xbox AND the controller, I just can't move or do a thing. It doesn't pause and say my controller has disconnected either. I can try reconnecting it, but it won't reconnect at all. I take the battery out of the controller, but the light
just goes around in circles if I put the battery pack in and turn the controller on again. I press the sync button on the xbox and that syncs to the controller, but the controller doesn't sync to it. The light on the controller just keeps going around and
around and I still can't use it.

I had the exact same problem. After some experimenting this is the workaround that worked for me:

1) Game is frozen in inventory.

2) Disconnect controller (I actually removed/reinserted my batteries since its faster).

3) Reconnect controller.

4) Notice that the game exited the inventory screen and is no longer frozen.

5) Save game.

6) Load game.

Try removing your account from your xbox and re downloading it, additionally you could attempt to put your xbox to offline and reconnect it to the internet, this should force a reconnection to the Xbox live servers.

UPDATE: i managed to connect to xbox live for about 5 minutes but after that i get disconnected , when i attempt to reconnect to xbox live it says that i need a wireless adapter???? My xbox is a slim it has wifi built in. any suggestions?
