    Controller saying low battery when unplugged from full charge


    Once play and charge charged fully it says low battery when I unplug the cable, but once I take battery out and put back in it has its full charge like it should do. Is this a software issue with the new dashboard?

    Controller issues

    My controller battery goes very low after full charge after like after 3 hrs. Plz reply and help. It isn't normal. Its a wireless controller with the correct batteries.

    Anyone with a Scuf Hybrid for 360?

    I recently bought a Scuf Hybrid controller for my 360, and have had a few issues. When it first came I charged it and the orange light on top never turned green, which is supposed to indicate fully charged. It eventually just faded and turned off after hours of charging. The controller worked, but the battery life indicator on the Xbox screen would always say full, bars never depleted to indicate if it was getting low. Also it would just randomly be dead after a couple days, no flashing on the controller to indicate low battery or anything like the Xbox 360 controller usually does.

    To anyone who has the same controller:

    1. Does your charge light turn green when it's fully charged?

    2. Does the battery life indicator on screen when you hit the center button show the bars depleting as the battery gets lower?

    3. Does the controller flash green around the Xbox button when battery is getting low and does your battery last decently long?

    I sent it in for repairs, got it back, and now pretty much same thing. Orange light never turned green, light just shut off after about 2.5 hours of charging. I've been testing the controller and so far on screen battery indicator has never gone down, just says full. If there are some common battery issues or functionality issues with the Hybrid I'm kinda over this. Might either say fuck it and get a refund because I'm pretty fed up with waiting, or might tell them to just make me a new non Hybrid controller and use the old fashioned batteries if that's more reliable. Has anyone tried those SharQ brand controllers? Similar style to Scuf with the paddles and functions, and they seem to get solid reviews, and they're cheaper.

    My first Scuf with regular batteries worked great, but this second go around has been pretty frustrating especially considering the price I paid.

    Most lithium ion batteries, like those in your game controllers, should be unplugged when they reach maximum capacity.

    The battery technology is ideal when the battery is between 20 and 80% full. Keeping the battery on the charger when it is at 100% can negatively impact the overall lifetime of the battery’s ability to hold a charge.

    Frequently Disconnecting Controller

    Are you using batteries or the charger pack? If you are using batteries ensure that they are not low on charge(Just covering all the bases). If you are using a rechargeable pack, charge the batteries to full before playing and then give it another go. If
    the problem persists and the controller continues to disconnect I suggest the following - If you have a spare battery pack try this on the controller and ensure that the battery pack is not loose, I have had this problem before and it may just be that the
    vibration from the controller is moving around the loose battery pack.

    The charging light should show amber. After about 10 seconds it'll go green. Unplug the cable. Plug the cable back in. Repeat until you get the charging light to stay amber. Keep an eye on it as I've had it go amber for 10 minutes, then go green. It's not
    charged. Unplug and plug unitl you get the amber light for several hours.
    Any ideas?
    Yeah, don't recharge the batteries until the controller starts flashing the low battery warning. Constantly charging NiMH batteries is a no-no in most cases.



    All that's in the battery pack are two AA NiMH rechargeable batteries spot-welded together with some metal strips. They're nothing special. I personally prefer to use rechargeable AA batteries and a stand alone charger. Easier to deal with and I always have
    an extra set of batteries ready.

    Hello. I use this kit for like half a year and in one moment it stopped charging correctly. It starts charging and after a few minutes LED light becomes white and says that controller is charged. When i check battery level its says that batteries
    are low and after 2-5 min without charger controller turns off.
    Time to change battery, are exausted, trust me

    Play and Charge Kit doesn't work

    Sounds like a fault with the battery to me. You can test this out. Unplug the controller from either the PC or Xbox, remove the rechargeable battery. Reattach your controller to the PC or console without the battery. If your controller powers up and
    works with just the cable, the battery is faulty.

    Faulty batteries pretty much always show a full charge and then cut out.
