Controller right thumbstick drift and occasionally not working.

Hello, I just wanted to say that my Xbox One controller has recently started to develop a drift in the right thumbstick that was only happening occasionally but has evolved into an annoying nuisance that always happens. I looked it up and others are also
having issues that a closely related to this one and it is not fixable.

Also, nearly every time I go to the dashboard, it stops the controller from working. It stays on but it doesn't work, I have to take out the battery pack and put it back in multiple times before it starts working again.

So I was wondering if it would be possible for me to send my controller back to get a replacement. I love my Xbox One but the controller itself is making me not want to play it.

Xbox One Controller Thumbstick Drifting Up

Hello,

This is the second Xbox One controller I have bought in the past 4 months that has had an issue where the thumbstick drifts up. On my last controller, the right thumbstick had the issue, now it's the left thumbstick. It makes most games unplayable. What
can I do to resolve this?

Microsoft, are you really telling me that a 70 dollar accessory has NO warranty? The right thumbstick is drifting horribly and no resolve available......come on

Yes, it is possible to get your controller replaced. And you where indeed right when you said alot of people are also having this issue.

+1 for the right thumbstick drifting issue. I've only played Titanfall at this point and luckily have a second controller that works just fine. Either the "drifting" controller is defective (sad, really) or there is something with the latest TF patch, preview
dashboard update, or a combination of all of the above.

The actual thumbstick sensors used in the controls are the exact same ones that were used in 360 and are used in all gamepads for pc and playstation (i have repaired old controllers with ghosting thumbsticks a lot), I don't know anyone that has had a thumbstick
break repeatedly in a short amount of time as it requires a lot of use or accidental damage to break them.

Does it fully stop working or does it start stick drifting/ghosting?

If it drifts/ghosts then they are easy to repair yourself if out of warranty.

My right thumbstick randomly started drifting to the left, making my character spin counter clockwise. Also when I try to look to the right my character will look but then its like the thumbstick disconnects and my character will stop looking to the right,
even though I'm holding the thumbstick to the right. This exact same thing happened to FOUR of my Xbox 360 controllers. I have never dropped a gaming controller so I have no clue why this happens. I hope Microsoft has a solution or will at least refund me
my Xbox one controller.
