  1. Controller right stick in menu

Hey, my right stick stopped working, everything is ok in games, but in the menu it doesn’t work at all. In the accessories it shows that it works, and when changing the sticks from left to right - the left one does not work, the right one does. Same problem with another controller. I did a hard reset - it didn't help.

    :)

    Hi Skohariev Ivan,

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the right stick on your Xbox controller. I'm here to help you resolve this issue.

Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue is only occurring in the menu and not in games. This could be due to a calibration issue or a software glitch. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:

    1. Restart your Xbox console: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the issue. Turn off your Xbox console and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in and turn it on.

    2. Try to connect the controller via wired to see if you able to navigate the Xbox menu using that controller without any issue.

    3. Recalibrate your controller: Go to the Xbox Accessories app on your console and select your controller. Then, select "Configure" and choose "Calibrate." Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate your controller.

    4. Update your controller firmware: Make sure that your controller is up to date with the latest firmware. To do this, connect your controller to your Xbox console using a USB cable and go to "Settings" > "Devices & accessories" > "Accessories." Select your controller and then select "Device info." If there is a firmware update available, follow the on-screen instructions to update your controller.

    5. Try to test it with using different Xbox controller because if it will work on another controller it means there something wrong on that controller.

I hope these steps help you resolve your issue. We look forward for your response.

Which is the right or left control sticks on the controller?

the Left stick is the one by the D-Pad, and is usually used to control character movement within a game.

the Right stick is the one by the buttons and is usually used to control the camera/view/aim within games

    hope this helps
And the right stick doesn't have any function effect on the guide menu or dashboard when you jiggle it up and down or side to side or in circles on the guide menu or dashboard like for example it doesn't have a secret function or menu when you jiggle it up
and down or side to side or circles during the guide menu or dashboard?

    Controller issues

    Hi,

Thank you for replying so quickly.

This problem is not just with one controller, it happens with all my controllers. The right thumb stick does not work.

I already had done the factory reset, saving games and apps before making the post. I also went into the accessories menu for controllers to the configuration menu and tested the buttons on all controllers. In the test it shows all buttons including the right thumb stick work. Then I went to the menu and switched the thumb sticks. When I went back to the Home Screen the right thumb stick was working but the left was now unresponsive. I will try to do another reset but I don’t believe it has to do with the controllers it’s definitely something with the console. If it doesn’t work I guess I’ll have to send it in for repair.

Thanks again for your timely response

    HELP ANNOYING PLEASE

I've had nearly the same issue with my controller, I bought a Forza 6 themed Xbox + Controller, the first controller would constantly move the stick right but only in select menus like the car select menu, I got a replacement and now the replacement is double
pressing right (D-Pad) most of the time, my spare controller is fine but both Forza 6 themed controllers have issues.
