Controller Repeatedly Disconnects

Adding to the masses, I know, but this problem just started for me out of the blue a few days ago. The controller will not maintain a connection, and sometimes it won't connect initially at all. I have tried every solution on the Xbox controller page that
is aleays linked to discussing this issue, and solutions from a thread on reddit to no avail. There were no changes to my setup, no new devices anywhere, etc. to cause this issue to occur after months of no problems (purchased my console in November and never
had the problem before). I tried a different controller, same issue; connected the controllers via USB, same thing. The last option is to get the console serviced, but I am hesitant to do that. I don't know if another solution is available to try, or if this
is just going to serve as a frustration post, but any help would be appreciated.

I just want to play Far Harbor, man.

Xbox one controller repeatedly disconnects

my controller keeps disconnecting and shutting off.. Then I can turn it back on for a while and it will do it when later. This does not happen with any other remote we use and it gets charged daily. The chargers work for the other 3 remotes just fine

I feel your pain I've had this issue since the last update.My situation is pretty much the same,I didn't change anything or add anything to my setup so it's not interference.Hopefully an update can resolve it.

 

I'll add to this because I am having the same problem. Even a brand new controller did the same thing. There is a new Xbox update that I just downloaded (5/26... Haven't used the x1 since the controller crap) so here's hoping there was a fix with it.

Try the update and maybe update the controller just for giggles and let's see what happens. Here's hoping there was a fix.

 

There isn't an update available for me at this time, and it checked this morning. Controllers are up to date as well. Hopefully an update appears and fixes the issue. Good luck with yours!

 

i've had this problem since the last update(i think thats when i started) and it will only work if i keep the controller within a foot of the console, it connects for like 10 minutes and then disconnects frequently and had searched far and wide for the answer
to this, but most people just send the console in for repairs. Hoping the next update fixes this issue
