Controller randomly disconnecting

For the past few weeks my controller will randomly disconnect from my xbox for about 20 seconds before reconnecting. There is no set interval, sometimes it wont happen for hours, and other times it will happen every 2 minutes. I have tried two controllers,
one of which was brand new and it still happened. I have checked for updates, and have done a power cycle. I am within 5 feet of the xbox, and there is nothing in between us that could cause interference. I have also checked the batteries and they are fine.
I'm not sure if it has to do with the newest xbox preview update, but i would like help finding a solution because I spent money on a controller I probably didn't need.

This happens to me since buying the Xbox one 3 months ago, I have sent it to be repaired but it has made no difference. Obviously a major flaw in certain boxes and it appears many people have this issue..
