Controller Problems

I already did a post on this, but no-one, not even someone from the Support team replied, so I'm gonna do this again. Here's my problem: I'll go to turn on my controller, but when I hold the button down, it'll sit there, blinking at me for 20 seconds,
before turning off. I've tried multiple things: I've checked to see if something was in the way (nothing), I've changed the batteries (full charge last time, but whatever), turned off my phone, computer, etc. (works fine even with them on), and I know it can't
be something with the router/modem, because it's literally 2 feet from my XB1. My console works fine (although I have to turn it on manually), but it's just my controller. It won't connect.

Controller Problems

Normally I'd go to google, but having a hard time as the word Battery and Draining, just comes up with troll forums about how much bullshit it is to have batteries instead of a charge pack blah blah.

Here's the issue. My controlller (day 1) with brand new batteries is showing 3/4 full, then 5 minutes later it gives me the low battery warning, then it disconnects at random.

I had thought it was a short. I went to town on the thing (immature I know) while doing Bottles last puzzle in Banjo...fucking thing is not made for the XB controller...

Troubleshooting I put the batteries into my 2nd controller that I never use and sure as shit, same thing.

Anyone else having these disconnects or battery issues?

And no problems.

Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

So for me,the choice is easy.

 

Have you tried syncing the controller to the console? Hold the sync button on the front of the controller and the sync button on the console (on the left side just before the usb) until the light on the controller syncs.

If that doesn't work then try heading over to Settings>System and update the controller to see if that helps.

 

@onyx62is Yes, I've tried re-syncing the controller. Plus, I can't go to the settings because my controller won't connect. Also, I'm sure the update won't help, because from what I can tell, everybody's complaining about it.

 

Hello , i' v got a problem with 2 controlers , one controler is recognised but when i try to conect the other one he sees it as the same controler number 1 , can anybody help me with this problem

 

If you have a play and charge kit or mini usb then try connecting the controller to the console so you can navigate the menu to where you need to go so you can update it.

 

After the last update the controls went crazy! Let's wait for the MS fix!

Okay, so I went out and got a Play & Charge Kit. I plugged it in, and it's charging. What now?

 

While it's plugged in and charging (please make sure you have the headset adapter plugged in if you have one as well) head over to Settings>System and update the controller. Hopefully that will solve your connection problem.

 

Well, it's charged, has the adapter attached and everything, but it still won't turn on. I'm not sure if I need to buy a whole new controller, because the one I have now still continues to elude me.
