Controller Periodically Disconnects

I have discussed this ongoing issue a number of times with tech support and gotten nowhere.

I see a locked thread on the topic, but I'm wondering what the resolution is.

In that thread, a 1TB owner claims the disconnects stopped happening on that unit. Im not about to replace my 6 month old unit on my dime!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

i just got off the phone with the hardware department and i told them about all the noises and other problems that have been going on if they are aware of these and they said no they are not aware of these problems. i asked if they even looked at the forms
on just XBOX ONE problems and they said they have not even been looking at the forms. i told him to start looking at them and told him to pass it on to head Microsoft people to look at the forms. cuz most of the problems going on they dont even know about
or heard about. i told the dude that there is lots and lots of people having these problems and there all one the forms, so he better start looking at them. -You people need to start calling them and telling them these things.

Do you experience these disconnects after big update (with new interface)? Do you play with batteries or play and charge kit?

 

I was a part of that very long thread.

While I understand your point of view...if you've only had the console for 6 months, I strongly recommend having it replaced if all other support hasn't resolved the issue.

If you end up having to pay and do not want to...there is an option to replace your wifi board yourself that voids the warranty but this board is what I had the xbox service department replace and it resolved my issue

Thanks for your info, though I'm not about to void my warranty yet.

My problem is unresolved, the XBOX tech support has been the most frustrating customer service experience Ive ever had.

It looks like PS4 is going to be not only emulating old titles but upscaling them. And, more games I play get better support from Sony.

I'm thinking I made the wrong choice with MS, & this is my 3rd console of theirs.

 

Wowsneaky - I had hoped my problem would be fixed by updates, but it is unchanged by them. Ive tried rechargeables and regular with the same result. If anything, it might happen more often when I use the headset. Im not sure though, the disconnects seems
random.

 

You're not alone...there are many others with same problem. I have this problem since November 12 (NXOE Update)

I'll be honest...take action and repair the console using your warranty.

Lets say its a manufacturing defect or design problem....the way these things get attention is when they hit profit and losses. Do the repair as those are tracked and at least you can have it "repaired"

Same problem here. This issue in my opinion is related to the most recent update as no issues at all before this. Really hope it gets resolved soon via another update. There is no other reason the controller keeps disconnecting other than the update. My
console is practically unusable.

"kingofjohn" your comment has nothing to do with controller disconnecting.

 

Replaced = they send you a refurbished Xbox that may come with new problems

Repaired= you get your same Xbox back, fixed

 

Im on my 4th xbox .. sending it in to get another refurb is a crap shoot at best

Keep searching the threads and you will see thousands of people with the same exact issue and all MS will say is to try the troubleshooting steps online .. and then they lock the thread

I am having the same problem here. In my case, the warranty was over only 10 days ago! I already changed all batteries, did the hard reset, factory reset (three times), 10s power button, power + eject turn on... nothing worked. Any of my controllers (no
headset) remain connected for more than 30 seconds and they take between 3 and 10 seconds to reconnect.

One other important information is that the controllers work only within 2 (two) feet range, if I go 3 or feet far from the console they never connect and the blinking home lights are shown.
