    Controller password entered wrong- now locked out


    I dont have xbox live and dont play online. My little sister typed the wrong password into the xbox one controller multiple times. Now it says im locked out and must log online on microsoft to prove its me and “enter password”. I
    have sucky wifi rn but it says i have to update my game before i can log online. So i connected to the sucky wifi and waited 3 hours for the update to finish. It finishes and says “something went wrong and could not update.” So am i just locked out my xbox
    forever? Is there anyway to prove its me by logging into Microsoft by phone?

    error code 80151103!!! HELP!!!

    it probally locked your account becuase u entered the wrong email and password

    Locked xbox one due to wrong password

    Tried to enter password but my son entered wrong one so xbox locked. Went onto Microsoft and changed password but still says locked when tried to enter new password HELP!!!!

    Controller password entered wrong- now locked out

    The only way to reset the lockout is to connect the console to the internet and log in to your profile with your password. As far as I know, there is no option to complete this process over the phone.

    The main problem here is that your Wi-Fi signal is unreliable. You have two options on proceeding:

    • Move your console closer to the source for better wireless signal.
    • Connect directly to your network with an ethernet cable, so your connection should be 100%.

    You can also log in at account.live.com from any web enabled device.

    It should pop up a box that says it looks like someone maybe trying to access your account and wants to verify that you have control of your account once you do that it should clear up the sign in issue for you as far as the update.

    You can do an offline system update by following the steps

    Hi, thanks for the reply,

    They were trying to migrate their account from mojang to Microsoft, but entered the wrong password when asked to login to the Microsoft account. They entered the correct password in shortly after, but because they got the password wrong a few times before hand it locked the Microsoft account so we couldn't migrate it

    Locked out due to not knowing old email password

    I set up my microsoft / xbox account years ago under another email. I do not know that password and can't recover it because I don't have access to the email. Now, I am locked out completely, as the passkey was entered wrong 3x by my son, and it is prompting
    me to put in my password for the email I used initially to set it up. I don't have this.
