Controller or cable?

May I know if you have a computer where you can try to connect the controller both by USB and Bluetooth and see if it works there?

And your controller connects to your console just fine wireless? The issue only happens by cable?

Get a Micro USB cable (make sure it's a data cable, not just a phone charging cable with no data lines and just power lines), and connect the controller to the console via USB cable.

If the console detects the controller, check in the Xbox Accessories App, if the controller requires a Firmware update.

Update the controller via USB cable, and if that succeeded, try the controller wireless again.

The controller has a detachable usb cable.

I tried the same usb cable with another Xbox One controller and i still got disconnected with movement of the cable. I wanted to test the Enhanced Wired Controller with another usb cable but i dont have any others that fit as the controller has a slightly
different port for the cable.

Have you tried the cable in a other controller to make sure its the cable and not the controller. Just incase the cable is not the issue.

In addition to the instructions from XBF Chris J, make sure that you really have a wired Xbox 360 controller, and not a wireless Xbox 360 controller that you connect with a Play & Charge kit cable.

A real Xbox 360 controller that works with PC has a fixed, non-removable cable. If you can unplug the cable from the front of the controller, that cable ONLY transmits power to charge the controller.

No controller data can be transmitted via that charging cable, and therefore the PC can not detect it. But when the controller detects power coming through that cable, it vibrates shortly. Maybe it's that why the controller "only" vibrates, but is not detected
by the PC.
