    Controller on, plugged in and recognized but isn't responding.


    Quick question.

    My brother let me borrow his steam so I could play Subnautica.

    I just spent the last three hours fighting with my xbox one controller, trying to get it to work with my pc. I eventually gave up and used a different one, and it's plugged in and on. But here's my problem:

    It doesn't work.

    It's on, my computer recognizes it's on. But it doesn't work ingame.

    Or even out of the game.

    I updated my drivers, updated the controller, installed everything the Xbox Accessories app told me I needed.

    Still nothing.

    I'm not getting any errors or anything. It just. Doesn't work.

    Xbox one controller windows 10 (WIRED)

    Xbox one controller isn't being recognized wired. I plug it in and it vibrates, but there's no sign of drivers and the device isn't being recognized in xbox accessories.

    Xbox One controller on Surface RT

    I got around to trying it last night, it's a no go, just shows up as an unsupported controller. I also tried my 360 controller plugged in with the play and charge cable, it was recognized, but didn't do anything.

    XAC and Logitech Extreme 3d Pro Not Working

    I'm having the exact same problem. Purchased a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick because it is listed as being compatible with the XAC. Joystick works fine when I plug it into a PC. But I try to plug it into the adaptive controller and it isn't recognized at all. Very frustrating.

    How do I get around Offline update when I have no access to a PC?

    Can you unplug it and plug it back in? Strangely, the HDMI isn't being recognized now.

    Hi Sheila,

    What is happening when you plug the headset in, is it isn't being recognized that it is plugged in. There have been issues with the 3.5mm jack port on multiple different controllers. This is the reason why it is on. So yes this would take care of it as a
    workaround, not a permanent fix. The y will need to implement a permanent fix as it is an issue with the port itself.
