    Controller Not Working


    Just bought the XBOX One and I'm having controller issues. I can't play a game for more than 5 minutes without the controller disconnecting and reconnecting again. It's really ridiculous. I've followed all the steps as far as changing the batteries (even
    though they were brand new), soft resetting the xbox, reconnecting the controller and no luck. I even moved the XBOX out of the shelf on my tv stand on top of the TV Stand. My Router is located downstairs so I know that it's not the interference. I purchased
    this system and can't even play a game on it!

    Controller not working

    It lights up when I stick it into my PC, and just now when I retried it on the Xbox it flashed on the top left and bottom right sections, and now it's fixed. Apparently it needed a kickstart from my PC or something, thanks!

    I think I am going to return the Xbox One.. I can't seem to find a solution and I've seen too many people be stuck with the same problem with no solutions. PS4 it is..

    I have a similar issue its random anywhere from 5 min's to an hour plus. Sadly I have bad news I sent my console in and after 'extensive' testing they found nothing wrong but when I got it back I knew within 5 minutes they sent it back knowing my warranty
    would be up by time I could do anything about it.

    It was a known issue with early XOnes and mine was bought Dec 2013.

    Funny I cant get thru the forums fine but for whatever reason the Support site just won't work for me using IE or Mozilla FF.

    Thanks for the reply SteelBurn, at least I know someone else is seeing my post! Sorry to hear about that.. Mine was recently purchased, so I had the luxury of exchanging it at GameStop and now my new console seems to be working just perfectly fine.. I have
    no idea why the other one had those wireless controller issues, but it seems to be perfectly fine now..

    I've heard of this before, you may need to get a new controller. There is no way to fix it. Also, when did you buy it, it may still be under warranty.

    If you have not already, I would suggest to go through the steps listed in the Troubleshoot your
    Xbox One Wireless Controller     page to help troubleshoot your controller.

    Let us know the results.
    That just deals with controller disconnecting so that is of no help to me and my problem

    Have you tried connecting your controller to your Xbox with a USB cable? Without batteries of course.
