Controller Not working when starting games

I would love to start accessing my games when I Travel for work., and will the controller work for all games

ive had the same problem with other games and it is to do with game streaming. what u have to do is start up the game through your tv first and u will find the controls work normally when the game has loaded and then if u start streaming it will work properly.
i have found if u start the game while u are streaming the controls dont work.

turns out this was only a temporary fix. came online again today and it doesn't work. even when trying the dns settings again

i have now fixed it. currently the recurring factor is when my controller is on when i load the game it doens't work online. but when the controller is turned on after starting the game it works

I struggled at first, but I found if I make sure the second controller is on and signed in on the dashboard prior to starting the game; when I then load the game with my primary profile (not the guest as this will go through the silly opening sequence) pressing
start/3 lines on the second controller it then works.
