Controller not working when I connected my Turtle Beach Headset

Hi All

I'm having a specific issue with my Xbox One controller and my XOFour Turtle Beach headset.

I am part of the Xbox One Update Preview Program, but the link that takes me to the correct part of the site was broken or malfunctioning.

The Details

- Sometimes when I plug my headset into my controller, the controller stops functioning. Meaning i cannot use it to operate the console in any way.

- The only way I can get it to work again is by performing a soft reset on my console. (manually touching the power button on the console until it shuts down)

- [FYI] This has not happened the entire time I've owned the console (since launch) until I started playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

- [FYI] The controller is powered via Play & Charge

- [FYI] The controller stays powered on while not functioning.

- [FYI] The guide button on the controller does not pulse, blink, or turn off - It remains lit

- [FYI] I leave the adapter for the Turtle Beach plugged in permanently and just plug in the headphone jack when i want to use it.

- [FYI] If I turn the controller off by removing the battery then re-inserting it, I can turn the controller back on by using the guide button. In other words the controller can control itself, just not the console.

Things I've Tried



- Tried it on other games but no luck. Mainly, I believe, because the problem has spotty repeatability except with COD:AW, with which the problem is frequent.

- Tried disconnecting and reconnecting of the headset AND its adapter.

- Tried removing the battery from the controller for 30 secs then re-inserting it. It still will not function with the console.

- Tried performing a re-sync between the console and the controller.

x32 Turtle Beach headset working on xbox one?

Hey guys, have any of y'all had any problems with your headsets not working if you don't sign in with the controller. I usually sign in with the kinect and when I connect my turtle beach it doesn't turn on. if I sign in with the controller it works. I'm
using Turtle Beach X32s.

 

No sound on headset or mic for XO Three Gaming Headset Wired connected to a wireless controller

Purchased a new Ear Force XO Three Gaming Headset(Turtle Beach) and a wireless controller. Connected the headset to the wireless controller and attempted setup on X Box One Console. However, we have no sound on headset and mic is not working.

Any ideas?

 

Hello, have you tried to update the firmware on the controller while the headset is connected? Go to settings. Then devices & accessories and select the xbox one controller that you are using. Ensure the head set is connected to the controller. Plug your
controller into your xbox one. Once the controller is plugged in you should be able to update firmware. Ensure the controller is plugged until the update completes.

 

What type of batteries are in the controller?

-Sometimes the mah and volts aren't strong enough to run the controller and stereo adapter together.

 

Updating the controller did NOT work. And the type of batteries i used is the Charge and Play kit. Like i said in the original post. This entire situation is extremely frustrating and i making me regret even buying an XB1. I cant be the only person with
this problem out there but according to google, I am.
