Controller not responding

SO i just got this game from the EA sale, but when i open the game the controller wont respond...meaning i cant go to any of the menus or even play the game.Although im able to quit the game by pressing the middle button on the controller. Has anyone else
had this problem?

Controller/UI Not Responding

I'm having the same issue as well. It has decreased in occurrence, but still randomly happens and the only solution is a hard reset which is not good for the console. I still haven't figured out what causes it and my original post concerning this was never
answered.

Controller/UI Not Responding

I am having the exact same problem with my xbox. The controller will not function, and my Kinect will no longer be working. A few times I could see that the xbox was reporting the kinect was disconnected and then reconnected numerous times (it was connected
the entire time). I had to shutdown the xbox and then unplug the power for a few seconds and plug it back in. This has happened numerous times and is becoming very frustrating.

There were a few times when the controller stopped working but the Kinect continued to work but was extremely slow.

There were a few times when the controller did not work and the kinect did not work at all (no dialogue about the kinect being disconnected it just wouldn't work).

My wireless router is about 50 ft from my Xbox and should be interfering. I do have a set of PX5 turtle beach wireless head phones.

Have you updated the controller through settings?

yeah my controller is up to date. But i just found the solution, by opening the game then logging out of the profile.

Then i log back in and it works fine.

Moved it last night far away from any other source. Played for an hour or so without issue. Played again this morning for an hour or so and then it just acted up again. Was in a game on a map scrolling places pressing up on the dpad and it just froze like
i was holding it down, continuiusly scrolling. Removed batteries, pressed power button and it lit up solid but remained frozen.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Check for any pending game updates.

Go to “My Apps & Games”, select Hogwarts Legacy, and press the more options button. From the list, select “Manage game & add-ons” and then “Updates”. Any updates will be available here.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall the game.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

Is there any other devices nearby that can cause an interference with the signal of the controller?

Thank you but I dont belive the issue is in any of the controllers I have. Ive tried older ones as well as new ones and made sure all were updated.
