Controller not responding but connected to xbox

Hey everyone.

I have a strange issue that I haven't found a solution for yet but my xbox one elite series 2 controller is not responding to any inputs. It is able to turn the xbox one on with the guide button. And when I turn off the console from the console button, the controller also turns off.

But the controller after turning on the console won't respond to any inputs. It doesn't even show up under device and accessories.

It's weird because it's a pretty brand new controller (it's a Halo infinite controller), and I have another older series 2 controller that works perfectly fine.

So, I'm wondering if there's any way I can fix this or hard reset the controller through some button configuration. Or should I take this in through warranty?

Connect the controller to a PC via USB cable and verify that it is up to date in the "Xbox Accessories" app. Once you verify that it is up to date try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

Try to link both devices again by pressing the pairing buttons of both devices at the same time.

You should try using the controller on a different device, as a mobile phone, then try to link it to the console again

You should also do this

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox

If nothing works follow these steps to request the service:

Sign in to the Device service and repair page with your Microsoft account credentials.

****If your device doesn't appear, add it

Select the device that you want repaired.

Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.

Yes, I have another controller but its old & doesn't have a lot of working parts still.

I apologize but if this is happening with multiple consoles this may mean that the issue is with the controller itself and you may have performed all the necessary steps.

One last test, do you have a different controller that you can try to use?
