    Controller not recognizing my headset.


    I have turtle beach xo sevens and when I plug them into the controller I am able to hear everything and everyone in a party, but they cannot hear me. Also when I hit the guide button and go down to settings there is usually a headset options area, but it
    is not there. ANY HELP PLEASE!!!

    Headset working but xbox doesn’t recognise mic

    We are having a similiar issue. On our 4th headset (thinking that was the problem, although current and #3 had sound when plugged into another device) and the controller is not recognizing the headset. Controller is up to date with new batteries.

    Xbox One 3.5mm Jack Not Working

    I recently joined the preview program about three days ago and while I was in the process of joining my controller stopped recognizing my headset. I have the 3.5mm jack version and it doesn't recognize any headset that I plug into it. Could this be because
    I'm in the preview or do I need to have my controller serviced.

    Controller not recognizing my headset.

    try going to kinect and devices, then to devices and accessories then to volume and make sure the mic monitoring is turned up. Hope this helps

    So my son has 2 controllers and one of them doesn't even recognize the headsets. I tried the test with both controllers and both headsets and nothing .

    In the instructions to the bluetooth headset it says that it will recognize the headset as an external device and will use slot one but some controllers wont allow the headset to be on the same slot as the controller the red brand controllers do not work

    Hi, similar problem here. I have 2 controllers ( 1708, genuine modelMicrosoft, but bought at different time, actually the inside label is slightly different). Since the last Xbox One update (07/21), one of the controller recognize the headsets (I have
    3 different headsets) and work normally. It recognize the headset, provides me with on screen volume... On the other remote, no headset work. None at all. Not recognize, no volume control, no sound, no mic. Both remotes have the latest firmware (3.1.1221.0)
    and I plug my headsets directly in the 3.5mm jack. Help! This seem to be a software/firmware glitch.

    Let us know what you found. I posted my similar problem recently.

    Try turning the controller off and back on to see if it recognizes the headset. The mute icon will disappear and a headset icon will take its place if it is recognized.
