Controller not moving to home tab

For some reason my controller refusrs refusrs to move left when trying to get to home tab on opening screen. Also it refuses to stay on game i want to launch. On all other screens it moves left and right, but for game lsunch and home tab it wont stay
still. It is maddening. Any ideas? Have changed batteries, switched off etc etc

You'll need to look around. I originally found it under the Games tab then it moved to the Home tab in the lower right corner. Yesterday it was the main pic on the Home tab.

 

Cannot access the STORE on XBOX ONE

I can see the STORE tab on my home screen but when I try to move my controller over the tab it skips right over it. It's crazy but it's been like that since I got the One for Christmas. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems. Go ahead and perform a
Physical Power Cycle on the console, If this issue persists, Try
updating the Xbox One Controller and give it another try.

Many thanks. We ran the controller update and while the software was fine, it showed that the RB button was permanent pressed on the controller. Problem identified and then fixed. Many thanks.
