Controller not connecting

Got a brand new xbox 360 today, and the controller connected just fine the first time setting it up. Then when I turned off the 360 and turned it back on later, the controller wont connect. I have a play and charge kit, and plugging it in doesnt even help
it connect, the lights just keep on flashing. the weird things are

1.) The play and charge kit works perfectly with another controller

2.) Resetting controller connection does not work either

3.) I unplugged and plugged the xbox 360 in, and that didn't work either.

So it seems like its JUST this controller. But the weird thing is that it connected perfectly when I first turned it on. What on earth is going on?

If you have the re-chrage cable, you have tryed to start Xbox whif cable atached to xbox and controler!? (because when you conects a control in this method the 360 reconizes the control.

Ok so, Rasdaan, Firstly did you purchase the controller along with the console; brand new from a store? If so you should have a proof of purchase reciept and may find it quicker to return the controller to the store for a replacement. If you have purchased
the console from an Xbox Live member, there is a chance that the warranty may have expired. Can I ask if you have registered your console to your Xbox Live account here:

account.xbox.com/DeviceManagement

This will also show you if you have any remaining warranty on your console.

If you have already registered your console; simply choose Start a Repair from the same link.

Also try normal batteries in the faulty controller just to rule those out too.

So recently my Xbox wasn’t connecting to the internet at all. The servers weren’t shut down, the Xbox would just not connect to the wifi. The Xbox gave me a notification that it had to do with a problem with the connection of the controller. The
controller would have to be restarted and connect to the wifi. It restarted the controller but it wouldn’t connect to the Xbox. I tried syncing the controller like when I first got it, I tried other controllers, and I even tried using a cable to connect the
controller to the Xbox, yet it still won’t connect.

Other controllers works?

All controller don't connect/work? Or only one? (maybe your preferred controller)

Updates:

Paired both controllers to console at the same time. Both controllers lost and regain sync at the same time.

Paired Elite controller to iPhone. No disconnects.

Paired one controller to console and other to phone. Controller connected to console disconnected, controller connected to iPhone stayed connected.

If you cannot connect controllers, use several different cords to connect the controller to the Xbox, make sure there is a usb type connector at the bed of the cord that is connected to the controller, and then go to settIngs and then accessories, click
on the controller, and then see if it needs any updates or connect it to your account
