Controller none responsive, only button that works is the middle xbox

I have re synced my controller and 2 others. Won't let me move or select anything. The only button is the Xbox button in middle that works. But can't move when that menu opens up. I had to pull out my phone and use it as a controller to move around and select things( 3 different controller does the same thing and recycling power and re syncing on all same result)

Have you run the steps in Update xbox wireless controller? All controllers you use need to run the firmware update.

The uSB method is my preference.

If they are try facroty resetting your console (you can keep your games and apps)

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps

My elite series two controller's middle white button wont shut off and It wont connect to my PC or xbox, I've tried to connect both wireless and plugging in my USB to both Xbox and PC. My controller does not show up on my xbox accessories even though the
white light is still on. I was mid game and none of my buttons worked i could only move forward and backwards and I could not press the xbox button to go to my home screen and ever since than my controller has not worked I've tried reseting my xbox, unplugging
it, searching solutions on the internet and nothing has worked. Any idea what is going on?

Same for me. My controller disconnects then turns back on, lights up but NONE of the buttons work and the only way to get it to work again is to power cycle my xbox. This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. It happens 7-8 times a day. Do you realize how annoying it is
to power cycle that many times a day while in the middle of a game almost every time. Please acknowledge this freaking bug Microsoft.

When the console is turned on the frozen screen is the only thing that comes up and none of the controller buttons work.
