Controller no longer turns on Xbox One X

For the last few weeks, neither of my two controllers turn on the consoles when pressing the power button.

There's been no change to any settings on the console.

I've tried updating the firmware on both controllers, resetting the console, even as far as removing the power board surge protector as some other sources online have suggested.

Any ideas?

while updating my xbox one controller disconnect the USB in the process and no longer turn on. Please help!

Yea, I understand and I apologise about that. The reports you sent point to the Series X controller and not the Xbox One controller. I'm afraid the controller can no longer be repaired under warranty and you'll need to get a replacement.

is your xbox one is on instant on mode I had similar problem I had my xbox one x on instant on mode I couldn't turn off my xbox one x through my xbox controller I talk to xbox support they help me put my xbox one x on energy saving mode that
help me

This only happens when I use the Microsoft Elite 2 controller.

And if I turn on another Xbox controller at the same time it does the same thing.

However if I reboot with the Xbox One X controller it works fine.

My controllers work fine in game menus etc.

I really thinks it the Xbox one X.

I already reset the Xbox and that didn’t fix it.

I’m so frustrated right now.
