    Controller messing with Mic


    So hey hopefully someone sees this but I know this isn't just a me problem. I have friends from all over the state's ranging from east to west coast and we all are all having the same issue. That issue being when we change batteries or the controller shuts
    off and we turn it back on the controller doesn't pick up our mic. I believe no one has contacted Xbox support because everyone has just learned how to deal with it but honestly it would be a life improvement or just a nice little fix if you guys could figure
    out how to fix this issue. Yes, the controllers and Mic are updated, no we don't all have the same mic's and if wondering when it started happening it was about 8 months ago but no longer then 1 year and it was after an update. So please help us the community

    NAT is open / party chat doesn't work - "we can't find a microphone for these people"

    I think this is a hardware issue rather than a connection issue. If it was your connection the party would read "Disconnected" I would personally try to barrow another controller and another mic from a friend and try them vice versa with your controller
    and mic (mic 1 with controller 2, controller 1 with mic 2, and controller 2 with mic 2).

    Mic randomly stops working.

    I would be playing a backward compatible game, the mic after a couple of hours of playing would just stop working and wouldn't be able to get it to work again. But once I stop playing the backwards compatible game the functionality of the mic would return,
    is the port on the controller messed up or do I have something in my settings that messing things up. Oh the mic that I am using was bought the day before posting this.

    Same here.

    It messed up my Elite Controller too, because now the mic on my [SONY] headphones doesn't work. Yet it works when i plug it into a regular controller...

    Xbox one stuck on "please reconnect controller"

    I have the same problem but different reason after update i hear a weird sound and controller freezes. Mic is messed up too.

    By your reasoning. My iphone is a pc then. If MS state on their own website the Surface is a tablet. It's a tablet.

    That was the first thing I tried. The controller and mic are not creating a true connection.

    MS Have messed up big style here.

    Expect a free wireless mic soon.

    They won't recall the controllers. So they will let you trade your mics in.

    I have tried 8 controllers and 12 mics. Out of them all

    I got about 4 to work. Faulty much?

    Can't talk in game chat but I can hear others.

    I've had this issue but I figured out it was my keyboard that attached to the controller that was messing with my headset. Do you have anything like a keyboard or the sound control? If its not that I would try a different mic ( I found just a mic online
    for cheap) or try a different headset all together. could be the jack.

    Yeah none of that works:/ wireless mic isn't connected to the controller...the cheap chat mic works fine so I'm not sure how the controller would effect the wireless headset...that's that only thing xbox ambassador said to do...I'm just curious if that cortana
    voice commands through headsets that has messed with certain brands of headsets...cause even though it it's disabled it's still a ability that has been added to the mic function
