    Controller Loses Pairing At Startup, External Hard Drive Interference


    I encountered an issue that caused my controller to lose pairing with my Xbox One X for approximately 30 seconds when powering on with the controller (until about 10 seconds after the Home screen had loaded). My external hard drive was causing interference
    when placed to the right side of the Xbox. Moving it to the left side behind the Xbox has resolved the issue.

    I am looking at getting an external hard drive for Xbox one, just wondered if you keep games on internal drive and play them do updates and saves stay on internal drive or do they go straight onto external drive also if external
    drive does go wrong do you lose games and saves cheers

    On my XBO Elite, the game crash at startup on Moon studio logo. But after transferring the game on the USB 3 external hard drive everything is just fine.

    Are there any wireless interference on your house? If there is also an external hard drive plugged in kindly unplug then try again.

    My Xbox controller on my Xbox One only connects when plugged into the Xbox if I try to reconnect it with the button on the side of the Xbox and on the controller the Xbox

    Do you have any electronics near the console, maybe an external hard drive or something else that might interfere with the signal? I had a similar issue, when one of my external hard drives was too close to the connect button on the console, and it wouldn't connect to the controller. Once I moved it, it reconnected.
