    Hello,

    I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the FIFA-forum, because the issue concerns the Xbox-hardware but only when playing FIFA. The issue is, that whenever I press the x-button for some moments, for example to cross, my Xbox-controller loses connection.
    This happens with two different controllers but only in FIFA16 and 17, not in other games. When I connect the controllers via cable, everything is ok. Any ideas?

    How to connect a wireless controller to an Xbox 360 console

    If you want to connect a wireless controller to your console, follow the steps bellow:

    • First, you need to turn on the console.
    • Insert the AA batteries into the controller.
    • Now you need to turn on your controller by pressing and holding the center Xbox Guide button. You should check the batteries if the controller does not turn on. If it is a rechargeable controller, you’ll have to ensure that it is charged properly.
    • After turning on the controller, you need to press and release the connect button on the console.
    • You also have to press and release the connect button on the controller within 20 seconds to connect the controller to the console.
    Notes

    When the controller is connected, the lights surrounding the power button on the console stop flashing.

    You are allowed to connect four controllers to a console. Each connected controller is assigned to one of four positions and each position corresponds to a lighted section around the console’s power button and the controller’s Xbox Guide button.

    connection keeps cutting out

    i can play online by myself but when i play with some friends i get kicked out and lose my connection.

    went to test xbox live connection it passed. pressed the y-button for status and this came up

    Error status Report:

    W: 0000 - 0021

    X: 0000 - F001

    Y: 20A8 - 48E0

    Z: 0000 - 0000

    Hi there Rohrkrepierer06!

    It's odd that the disconnection problem seems to only happen for FIFA 16/17. Have you checked out the troubleshooting article for

    Xbox One wireless controller disconnects or can't connect    ? Since it sounds like it works fine when connected, it could possibly be a battery or range issue.

    Let us know if you're still experiencing issues!

    That's super odd.

    It may be worth reaching out to EA support if it only happens in FIFA 17. To check, do you have a headset connected to your controller by chance?

    Try clearing your Xbox 360 Hard Drive cache

    You can do this by:

    a. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard. b. Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.c. On the Xbox 360 Controller, press the X button, press the X button again, press
    the left bumper, press the right bumper, press the X button, and then press the X button again.d. You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing A.

    Note: When clearing your cache you will have to download updates to games that you play. You will NOT lose any save files.

    Could you try reinstall the dashboard or the system software. It is recommended that you use a wired connection when you update the system software. But as IT savy, you've probably already know this.

    Reinstall as follows:

    Turn off your console. Press and hold the sync button (the small one you use to connect your wireless controllers). While holding press the power button to turn your console on. Continue to hold the sync button until the console is booted up.

    Go to System Settings and choose storage.

    On your controller, press the following button sequence:

    Press the left bumper.

    Press the right bumper.

    Press the X button.

    Press the left bumper.

    Press the right bumper.

    Press the X button.
