Controller loses connection even though i use usb-cabel

Hi.

My original controller broke so i bought a new one. I hooked it up and played wireless until after a couple of days it started losing connection to my xbox one. I disconnected it, checked the batteries, turned it off and on again and got it working.

Worked for a couple of days and the it lost connection again.

After checking eventual controller updates, troubleshooting through the Microsoft website i realized it might work if I buy a cable. I did. Charge And Play. It worked for a while until even that lost connection.

I can get it to work for a couple of days before it loses connection again. After a hard reboot that is.

Does anyone here have a suggestion to how to make work?

Hi there,

Try re-updating the controller's firmware while plugged into the console using the play and charge kit USB cable. You can do this by going to the Xbox Accessories app and selecting the three dots for more options. Select Firmware version and then continue
with the instructions on the screen.

Then go ahead and do a
hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox.

I know, so weird. The cable would make it fool proof, right?! But no.

You wrote "had". Did your mate find a solution?

I have always found that the controller FW needs to be updated, console rebooted, cache cleared, or the device is just broken and needs replacement. So, I'm very happy the warranty is active.. Hope you get your new
one soonand start gaming again
