    Controller left trigger sticking


    The controller that came with my xbox series x has an issue were the left trigger keeps sticking for about one second after being pressed. My finger will be off the trigger but it will "stick" for about a second before returning to its normal position. For reference it's the most used button in my collection of games. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix it without having to buy a new controller.

    This limited warranty that you have covers only the hardware of the console (Xbox Series X), the control only has the 3-month warranty which is the term offered for accessories and devices from the Xbox brand.

    *I recommend that you try to register the controller on the website, if it doesn't work, it's because Microsoft doesn't support this out-of-warranty controller.

    Well this problem you described, is a hardware defect, where an exchange or repair would be needed for the control. Can you tell if the control is still within the 3-month warranty period offered by Microsoft?

    Controller left trigger sticking

    I bought the Series X back in Feb. 2021 and I think the 3 month warranty has been passed (assuming it starts upon purchase). I have a "Microsoft Limited Warranty" that will expire on March 2022 but I'm not sure if that covers hardware. I did have a glimpse at the "out of warranty" repairs but did not see a controller listed except for the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 (I'm US territory).

    Tried and it made no difference, issue is with controller I believe as when I use left analog stick forward with my trigger stops engaged it will act as if I’m pulling the left trigger
