Controller Left Stick randomly moves (game character/menus) forward.

Within the last 2 days my controller has developed an issue where the left stick wants to move "forward" on its own at random and it seems to be getting worse. If I leave it alone the game character will start walking forward on their own or if I'm in a
menu it will scroll Up while I'm trying to make adjustments, this is really annoying when I'm trying to hold a position or line up a shot in an FPS. This will happen at least 4-5 in a 15 minute session and has been becoming more frequent. I've tried re-syncing
the controller, removing the batteries, etc and nothing has helped.

Is there any way of re-calibrating the controller or some sort of repair that I can make? I can't justify spending $60 on a new controller for a stupid glitch like this.

Xbox one elite controller on windows 10, not working correctly.

For the first few weeks the controller worked great, but then started acting up in multiple games.

In Elder Scrolls Online, the movement will randomly be delayed and last longer than I had moved the left stick, making the character spin in a slow circle without me having to touch the controller.

In Fallout 4, the character will randomly move slightly diagonal when using the left stick to move forward, or overpass the direction I want the character to face.

The drivers and everything are up to date, and I've reinstalled them twice, along with calibrating.

Left Analog Stick on Xbox One Controller

Anyone else having issues with the left analog stick randomly pushing forward since the last update? After I received the update, my controller constantly wants to move forward after a few seconds. It's never done this before and now it's happened in Battlefield
4, Titanfall Beta, and now my dashboard. I'll let go of the left analog stick, I'll stop moving forward and stand still... then all of a sudden I'll start creeping forward. Same with on my dashboard. I'll put my controller down and after a few seconds, it
will just move up and highlight my notifications icon.

It's not a glitch. Controller Drift happens to controllers after some time.

They don't last forever.

Fixed it, between these 2 tutorials I've eliminated the drift. Stupid little piece of worn out plastic was causing it

so the left analog stick to walk in games? Assuming.. so The fact it's only doing it on the menu and not everywhere else is kinda odd I used to have one that did the menu when I'm typing a text it would just go up randomly and in-game so I know it was drift but I have no clue never heard of a situation like this before BUT... it could be drift because maybe your in-game character needs more force to the controller in order to move but the menu you can barely move the analog stick and it'll move either way if the controllers broke you can send it in for repair. Is your controller still in warranty?

My controller is not working correctly. After a few seconds the character on the screen start moving by himself forwards. Or in the menu screen start going up in the selections. No movement in the left thumbstick and still the character is moving.

Agree, They were defiantly rushed out. My controller isnot lose or cheaply made.But the left stick is alwayss moving forward. This is a pain when navigating menus....that is all
