  1. Controller lag

OK, Microsoft, you guys are a giant bunch of fails.

I got an XB1 last week, and I was playing DOOM and Halo, and there was no way I could aim. I tried plugging it on TV and on a PC monitor and it lags! And no, it's not the monitor nor the TV's problem. I was playing COD on my PS3, and I had no lag whatsoever
with wireless controllers. So don't blame my TV, nor my monitor.

Now, an XB1 lags? Like seriously? Microsoft, you guys are a bunch of fail because

1- the controller doesn't come with a cable. Seriously????? You'd rather prefer saving 1 dollar????

2- the controller feels like soooooo cheap vs. a ps3 dualshock controller

3- can't beat 2006 hardware when it comes to lag? (ps3)

4- Kinect just *** doesn't work properly. It doesn't detect movements properly.

5- What is this dumb unnappealing UI in the main menu? Not intuitive, and stupidly designed.

6- Why is the main menu so friggin laggy?

    7- No spotify?

That's it. I brushed through the forums. It's a known issue since 2013. I'm returning it. I already purchased some games, and now wow, I'll have to waste some money because I won't be able to return them.

Now I see why so many people just got an PS4: it's simply better. Period. Meanwhile, XB1 simply sucks.

    :)

As Delentheus stated it all adds up.The controller lag, processing lag, frame lag and TV lag adds on top of human lag.

    Controller lag

Please don't compare the Xbox too the PS3/4 thanks it's best to have no console wars.

It's clear you are experiencing a issue that will make you 'lag' can you give a bit more detail on what you mean by lag is see you are having issues with the controller you say but i feel like the console and not the controller.

Can you try a hard reset follow the steps below thanks.

1, Hold the power button on the console until it powers off

2, Unplug it from receiving power and sending HDMI signals.

3, Wait up to 5 minutes then connect it back up.

4, Boot the console and you'll be presented with a green screen no worries

5, Once booted up go to settings and check your internet connection both multiplayer and network.

    ' No spotify'

As i do use spotify as well Microsoft does not have the rights to use spotify as a console app therefore since the competitor does have it it's highly doubtful that the xbox will get it.

And the controller cord could come in some boxes it depends on the package you purchased.

    Skyrim: controller lag

Yes i already installed it, it's not the game lag that is a problem, the game runs very smooth and i haven't experienced any lag yet, the problem is the controller lag or input lag, the time difference between using the controller and seeing these actions
on the tv. I am sorry if i mixed up the terms game lag and controller lag, because these are 2 different things. But thanks for the advice! i will post my results by tomorrow, i really hope it is just the controller thumbsticks that are worn out because i
am dealing with this controller lag for a long time. I actually resold a tv after buying because the controller lag was to big, the tv was to slow with processing the image of the xbox. Now i have a fast panasonic plasma tv with a lag of 16 ms ( should be
non-noticable for humans, according to what i have read) so that shouldn't be a issue, though i want to reduce the lag as much as possible. For example i do not prefer the bow as a weapon because i find it very hard to aim because of the controller lag.

Xbox One Summer Update - after updating the game streaming to PC keeps disconnecting

Last night I tried connecting my controller directly to the console(with USB). Then I started streaming to my PC using the Xbox App Beta(Version 22.22.28020.00000). I played for about 2hrs, and I didn't see any major lag. There was a little stuttering every
once in a while, but not as bad as before. I then disconnected the controller from the USB(it was still connected to the console wirelessly), and I played for another 2hrs. I still didn't see any major lag; just the occasional stuttering every so often. Then
I proceeded to disconnect the controller completely from the console, and I connected it directly to my PC(with USB). I played for maybe about an hour, and the games seemed to run worse. I didn't see any major lag, but there was a lot more stuttering. I wasn't
able to continue playing to see if the major lag would appear again, but it seemed like it would've if I had played longer. So, it does seem like having the controller connected to the console directly while streaming runs better.

Tonight I was going to try connecting my controller to my PC, and stream until the major lag shows up again. I will then disconnect the controller from the PC, and connect it directly to the console; I will see if the lag persists after doing that. I will
post an update either later tonight or tomorrow morning on what happens.
So, I connected my controller to my PC and streamed for about 2hrs until the lag showed up. Then I disconnected the controller from the PC and connected it wirelessly to the console. The lag did continue, but there was no stuttering. The lag spikes seemed
to happen almost exactly every 5 minutes. The game would lag for about a minute, and then stop for 5 minutes; then it would start lagging again. I then connected the controller to the console through USB, and the lag seemed to go away. Then I connected back
to the PC and I was able to play for about another hour before the lag returned. So, it seems like when you connect the controller directly to the console with USB, then there is no lag. Also, the lag only impacts the games themselves; not the dashboard. When
the games are lagging I would hit the Guide Button, and the dashboard would have no lag whatsoever.

    Xbox Wireless Headset Audio Latency

I do not own the Xbox wireless headset, but I had read review from rting.com that it has 200ms latency. While I do not have an explanation to why the lag, the lag is probably expected.

I also notice there is some lag on controller 3.5 output. If you use monitor speaker and controller headphone at the same time, you will notice the lag, although very minimal.
