My controller keeps going up as if it has stick drift but it will randomly stop. When I switched to my other controller it had the same problem. I am starting to think it is something wrong with my Xbox.

    controller keeps drifting up

Hello Rohit S, I am an independent advisor and I would be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

I understand that you are experiencing a stick drift issue with your Xbox controllers.

Inspect your motion levers for stuck debris and be sure to move the motion levers to see if there is debris stuck inside.

Use compressed air to clean the movement levers and surrounding areas.

Use cotton swabs with ********* alcohol to thoroughly clean the movement levers

Rub a cotton swab with alcohol along the inner edges of the joystick to clean any internal debris. Let the controller dry for 1-2 minutes. Connect your wireless controller to your Xbox and test if stick drift persists

If the problem persists, repeat step 4, or replace the potentiometers on the controller.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, don't hesitate to contact us again.

    controller keeps drifting up

I think it get worse in the menu because I can’t even control it any more. The joystick can’t override the drift

I tried this and it did not work I also notice that if I pulled down on the joystick the drift would go down but if I pulled it up it would drift up

Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :(

ive had my X1 since launch and both my controllers are junk. they both have left thumb stick drift. one controllers drifts down and the other up and right. but if you look at my controllers both are centers by eye.

I ended up yesterday going and buying the new call of duty limited edition controller for 70.00. I love it but do HOPE they have learned and this controller does NOT get those issues. Controllers cost far to much to keep replacing
