Controller keeps disconnecting during gameplay. Probable cause found!

Both my controllers kept disconnecting during gameplay, although the Xbox button on the controller only briefly flashed. It synced automatically within a few seconds. It happened in every game I played and very randomly. At first I thought this to be my
console, but when I burrowed my son's Xbox One it showed the same problem. Tried everything with interfering signals: no results. But then I figured something: the Kinect keeps track of the controller, via some flasing red leds within the controller. When
the Kinect loses sight of the controller, they begin to flash. Well, since I like to the sit on the ground for playing, the salon table was blocking the view to the controller for the Kinect. And then the message appears later on that my Xbox lost the connect
to the wireless controller and I need to power on the controller and press A. The power is on, and I can press A after some seconds, but it is REALLY annoying within a game. So I figured trying to switch off the Kinect. And that did it! When I switch off my
Kinect I have not had any disconnection issues anymore. You wanted the Kinect to become standard, but when that even blocks my way of gaming, sitting on the floor, I can imagine why no one wants it. Please address this problem Microsoft!

My wirless controller keeps disconnecting; if i buy the rechargable cable batttery pack would able to play without the controll disconnecting

Not the Kinect as I have the same issue with no Kinect plugged in. Very annoying.

Maybe you should look if you shake the controller too much? happened to me as i shook it too hard. Disconnected as if the power supply gets interrupted just for a second. Just an Idea

Same deal for me. If my leg is propped up on the couch and blocking the view from kinect to the top of the controller, the Xbox button on the controller starts blinking and it the controller stops communicating with my Xbox One. (It doesn't receive any button
presses.) Then if I move my controller so the kinect can see it, it starts to work again within a few seconds.

1. Is this by design (on some level)?

2. Or is my controller busted?

3. This is annoying as poop.

? no this is during gameplay i will be using the controller and it randomly disconnects...

Benefiting from your detailed description, I noticed that your Xbox controller disconnects frequently during gameplay.

I'm glad to have the opportunity to help you with this issue.

Based on past experience, potential problems with the console and controller are the primary direction for troubleshooting.

Some wireless signal interference may also cause this problem.

Here are some initial troubleshooting and cross-testing steps:

Remove your controller from your Xbox console first.

Then you can do a Power cycle:

- Press and hold the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.

- After the console has shut down, unplug the power cord and wait 30 seconds.

- Also remove all peripherals like Storage Expansion Cards, UBD HDDs, battery charging stations, etc.

- Plug the console back in and turn it on by pressing the Xbox button.

Then try re-add the Xbox controller.

Also, to troubleshoot your controller, you can connect it to PC, and try using a wired connection on console to see if it disconnects during gameplay.

Finally, can you tell me in which stage of which game this problem mainly occurs? Is this the only game where this problem occurs?
