Controller Issues.

My controller keeps flashing like its trying to sync and when it does it stops working. I have tryed to sync it and it tryed a hard reset but the problem persists.

I hope I dont have to return it as Im about to send my Kinect back because that keeps switching off. What a mess!

Bah. That thing sucks. I think that tripled my amount of all time shotgun kills.

Hey there BENOCIDE!

Sorry to hear about the controller issue! If you haven't already, plug your controller into the console with a micro usb cable and try syncing it that way as well as

updating the controller. I also recommend simply changing the batteries just in case the ones in there right now aren't providing enough power.

If the issue persists, I would recommend testing a different controller on your Xbox One console or your controller on a different Xbox One console to help us narrow down the issue. Post back and let us know how it goes!

My controller wouldn't work at all.

I found turning off the power-strip my new cod xbox one is plugged into when cycling power did the trick.

I realized it might when I noticed the controller stays on when plugged in,

even without batteries, even with the xbox off.

Might not help with you, but it might help someone.

Got to cut the power completely.

Tried new batteries and running into the same problem. I dont have another pad to try and have tried all hard reset options(even unplugging).

I feel just like when my Kinect broke that its a software option due to updates. Can anyone from support confirm that Xbox devs are taking this into consideration.

updating your Xbox One controller? Follow the steps I linked, and if that does not help, I suggest requesting a replacement on the controller by contacting our phone or chat support agent through our

Good luck with a new controller, Xbox have LOTS of issues at the moment with Controllers

They just aren't working the way they should, do a search mate and you will see all the disgruntled customers

Thanks Mr Beep but I think I will use it wired as I dont want to be without a pad. Ive already got to send my Kinect back.

This gens Xbox and games are really buggy or flat out broke. What happened MS?

Yeah since the update I think the problem is on Microsofts side, my friend and I are both getting this issue and we've both updated our controllers. Whatever it is It's nothing we can fix by ourselves..

My controller is not working correctly. After a few seconds the character on the screen start moving by himself forwards. Or in the menu screen start going up in the selections. No movement in the left thumbstick and still the character is moving.

It sounds like you're not hitting the sync button on the console itself.

With your console powered on, hit the Guide button. Wait for the LEDs to start flashing. Once they're flashing, hit the sync button (near the Play & Charge cable port). The LEDs on the controller will start spinning. After you've hit that, hit the Sync button
on the front of the consoles. On the original 360 it's its own button to the right of the MU ports. On the 360 S it's the IR window/button to the left of the front USB trap door. Once you hit the sync button on the console, the Ring of Light on the console
should start spinning.

Controllers do wear out. Every gamer handles it different and your movements will do that to the joystick. Certain games are harder on different buttons. Thats a battlefield controller

mine looks just like it. Its a battle hardened controller that might
need to be retired. It happens to the best of us.
