Controller issues

Today I tried to update my control and got an error message saying something had gone wrong thought maybe my play & charge kit had disconnected the light wasn't on so it had can't get it to reconnect to the control and my control now no longer works ether
any ideas tried reseting, new batteries etc basically all your standard fixes.

Any help appreciated as I'm already on my 2nd control and don't want to end up having to get another.

Bah. That thing sucks. I think that tripled my amount of all time shotgun kills.

Try this:

1. Plug controller into Xbox via USB

2. Hold down both the controller's Xbox button and menu button for 10 seconds, or until it turns on

If the controller turns on, update the controller following the instructions at

support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter
