Controller issue's with console!

I just got an update on my pc for windows and the one time I dont look at what needs to be installed and on that list was an update for xbox one controller and now when ever I plug my controller into my pc to charge the play and charge it thinks
I want to use it on PC and now I can't get it to work with console any more! This is not a good thing MS! So now I can no longer charge my battery pack(xbox brand) while I game. Its bad enough that the charge cable is only 9 feet when I sit 12 feet from console!
This is the reason I charged my controller on the pc while playing cause its the only source near me for that! Please fix this Microsoft so I dont have to buy a 3rd controller so I can get back to playing!

Did anyone at Microsoft actually test the controller with human subjects?

Not personally had any of these issue's. The only thing I'd like is a more solid feeling controller. A good screw would be nice
