Controller issues after update

So I didn't even know that controllers had updates until a few days ago, but I've updated my controller and now the controller will not charge. When I connect the cable, the controller vibrates like its acknowledging the connection being made, but the Orange
light doesn't light up anymore. I literally just had it charging with the Orange light on before the update and now it won't charge. Any ideas?

for anyone with controller issues, this popped up in tonight's preview update.
A fix to address an issue for users who find their controller will no longer connect via a wireless connection, and only works over USB. If this has occurred to you, after taking this system update, you will be able to connect your controller via a USB cable and wait a few seconds before unplugging it. This will recover your controller and you will be able to connect wirelessly. It is expected that subsequent controller firmware updates will fail. This will be addressed in a later system update.

I assume you're posting from a template. Can you provide the template you're posting about? Unfortunately making a post with a extremely vague numbered list will reduce the chances of getting support. Let us know... =)

 

Not sure if this will have any impact on the issue you are having but have you tried doing a hard reset on the console? Hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds or until it powers down completely then let it set a couple of minutes,
restart the console and test. Let us know if this helps at all. Good Luck!
