    Controller issue - "pointing up"


    I'm in the update preview program, my xbox it's in the Brazil region, and after the last update i notice the player 2 controller sometimes point "up" on the menus by itself. The problem stops when point the left or right thumbsticks to any direction. I don't
    know if the issue is due to the controller update, console update or hardware problem. I try to update the controllers again (many times) but i still got this, and that's really annoyng. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :(

    My 360 controllers also started to wear to point of acting up after about a year, haven't had any issues with my day one controller yet, I also have a second controller, but rarely use it.

    been playing around with the xbox, with the kinnect unplugged it seems to hardly pick up the controller at all, as long as I keep the top of the controller pointed directly at the Kinect sensor it seems to work at a greater distance, still far shorter than
    it used to, if I point the controller up it will loose connection, point it back at the Kinect and it picks it up again,

    Right analog thumb stick stuck looking up.

    It is obviously a faulty controller.... there is no need for a thread at all.... people need to realise that electronic fail..... also the OP did not state anything leading up to the controller issue.... just pointing fingers..... don't blame MQ for
    a poorly asked question.......

    Thanks for the response. To be clear, the console is able to get through the factory reset. I then get to the point where there is the large white controller on screen and you have to press the X followed by the A to get to the set up menu. It is at this point where the console suddenly does not respond to the controller button presses. Does that still sound like a console repair issue?

    Xbox one is garbage! DON'T BUY THIS SYSTEM!

    Also before I sent the controller that came with my console off to get repaired, that controller didn't have no issues at all. This situation is stressing me out to the point I have become physically ill! I have OCD so little things like this get to me easily.
    The controller is poorly made and it needs to be acknowledged! STOP COVERING THE ISSUE UP!!!
