Controller Issue (need replacement)

My Xbox One controller has an issue with the left analog stick as it keeps drifting up on game menus, dashboard and in game also. I've been finding it very difficult to play games with it happening.

I tried the reset thing on my xbox where you hold the power for 10 secconds till i turns off, unplug the power cable and leave it for 5 mins then power it on again and sync the controller but that didn't fix it at all.

So i contacted xbox support gave the controller id number and stuff and they said they tried to process a replacement but couldn't because i'm a preview member and i have to speak to the Xbox Preview Support team. please can you resolve this as i need a
replacement and don't have another controller.

The issue you have happens whether you are in preview or not, If your warranty as finished then all you can do is buy a new one.

The preview only cover you for problems proven to be caused by the updates you received.

Yep this happened to me too The right thumbstick on a controller I had started drifting, but since it was no longer under warranty I had to get a new one. You can replace it though here:
myservice.xbox.com/.../Welcome.aspx or just head over to a store a grab a new one

Here's my quandary: I am in the same boat, Left stick drift, request replacement, out of warranty... Here's where it gets good... I am in the market for an Elite Controller, however, they are sold out everywhere! I will not spend $60 now, just to spend $150
in a month!

i had the same issue, had a replacement shipped..... the refurbished controller has right stick drift down... unbelievable. I called support and asked to bump it to level 3. i spend 10 bucks to ship the other one back, and got a broken one in its place.
no sir. I want a controller shipped to me before i return this one. And it better be new and working. 160+ bucks for this thing, and there is known issues. Why isn't there advanced return options set up? It cost more than a kinect yet if my camera breaks i
can have them put a hold on my card and ship me a device BEFORE i ship them the defective one. I am a bit upset.

The reason for asking what issues were being experienced when attempting to connect it directly to a device is to confirm if it is indeed the controller that is at fault for this process not working.
